As the current First Selectwoman of Westport, Jen has overseen the Town’s remarkable rise to become one of the most desirable and well-run municipalities in the nation. During her tenure as both First Selectwoman and Second Selectwoman prior to that, Jen has been responsible for significant upgrades to the Town’s infrastructure and amenities, building an ever more vibrant business community, increasing access and quality of town services for residents, advancing Westport’s public safety, and ensuring that Westport continues to be the best place to live, work, play, and learn in the region. That same leadership is what Jen will bring to Hartford. We need a proven leader as Governor in order for our state, and every community in it, to reach its full potential.

Jen’s proven leadership in local government is deep. In addition to serving two terms on the Board of Selectman, she has also served on Westport’s Board of Finance, Conservation Commission, and Board of Education. Jen has on-the-ground know-how in all key aspects of local government and understands that it takes a listener who can collaborate and build coalitions to tackle the tough issues. In government, and as a successful business executive with almost 25 years of management experience in the international reinsurance industry, Jen has employed these skills over and over to get challenging things done.
